Coco | Pixar / Lee Unkrich | Now playing | #1 all-time in Mexico

Hmmm.. with Olaf's Frozen Adventure playing beore Coco i wonder if they will likely condese the short for theatrical purposes and it will say at the end watch the full short on ABC/FreeForm this Holiday and then go straight to the movie? They'd Better. Kids will ask some funny/ridiculous questions like "Is This movie or Where's the movie?" haha

Yeah I'm not concerned with the runtime (not to forget that it's unlikely to have an official runtime yet).  Inside Out was great and it was a short movie, Zootopia was great and it was a longer animation.

The trailer for Coco looks great.

I also think Frozen will help its box office.

I can only imagine when Lion King came out:

"89 minutes?  lol that's way too short.  Pacing's gonna be wonky.  Critical failure incoming"

The Lion King was never supposed to be the giant phenomenon it became. Katzenberg considered it a primer for Pocahontas, which was supposed to be the next Beauty and the Beast.

Just saying how much of an effect are you guys expecting Frozen will help Coco? Cinderella was tracking at $65M-$70M and did $69M OW and had a Frozen short.

At this point, I'd say that the effect won't be large.

Same but it'll be enough to stop the talks of The Star outgrossing Coco domestically I may have or may have not spearheaded.

Pretty sure you're literally the only one who said that.

1.) I said it was a possibility not a lock or likely to happen. However thanks to that Frozen short that isn't happening.

2.) I wasn't the only one.

@TwoMisfits-

I'd be in on a The Star club as long as it's not too crazy:)...The Star over Coco would get me...The Star over B&TB 2017...probably not:)...

@The Mummified Panda

As much as I want Coco to do well, that sounds reasonable.

I only had a mild interest in Coco, looked too much like Book of Life 2.

But I'm definitely going to see it now for the Frozen short, Coco will be a nice bonus!

I REALLY doubt Disney will put a Disney shot on a Pixar Bluray, so no short on the Coco home video release.

The 21 minute Frozen short will be given its own Bluray release, like all those recent 20 minute Toy Story holiday specials.

What a horrible year for animation, hope Coco can save the day.

Boss Baby did very GOOD.

I'm expecting Cars 3 to fail though.

Coco will need great reviews in order to break out.

In box office given how big 2016 was it should've been expected.

In quality, Lego Batman and Captain Underpants were great.
