So records DP3 could break:

- Biggest OW for an R rated movie.

- Biggest DOM gross for an R rated movie

- Biggest July OW

Anything else?

Not really a record, but its a contender for the new 11th highest-grossing movie domestically.

Guys, on my way to see Deadpool and Wolverine right now! So excited for it!

Cannot wait to watch this in a crowded theater and come back to this thread later and see what crazy box office updates we'll get later tonight.

Hopefully this scores both $40M in previews and $200M over the weekend. I believe that the Marvel Jesus himself will bring in the walk-ups that were brought to so many other successful films this summer.

It'll beat the previous highest-grossing R-rated film released by Disney which was, if I'm not mistaken, Pretty Woman.

Showing was busy! And there were lots of laughs from the audience.

But this multiverse/variant/timeline stuff is tedious. It was tedious two years ago and it is even more so now. Hope this is the last of it.

I watched Quantumania yesterday and it was absolutely appaling :( truly think this multiverse stuff is terrible but I fear they're in too deep

Honestly I'm just excited about how the holdovers (no not the movie) are gonna do this weekend as much as D&W. We're a long way from the doldrums of May.

I will be happy to not have to hear "Twisters is gonna be destroyed" anymore. Definitely doesn't look like it is at my nearby theaters

the multiverse stuff which allows for fanservice and cameos is the main remaining draw of the MCU
