SPECTRE | 11/6/15 | Final Trailer on Page 126! | Twitter reactions coming in, STID 2.0?

I get absolute joy out of the Heineken TV spots just thinking about how much Craig hated doing them.

Compare them to Naomi Harris in the Xperia Z5 ad, she looks like she had fun making it. He can't complain as he likely got paid well for it, either in cash or free beer.   :D

$280m is the # someone posted above.  In the Sony leaks it was mid 300 millions.  $280m might be after tax credits.

Sony's deal with EON ends after SPECTRE.  Sso either they'll be renewed as financier/distributor or EON and MGM will find another studio to partner up with for the Bond franchise.

Warner Bros seems to be the favourite but I assume the Broccolis will have the final say

Obviously the Broccolis will have the final say as with all things Bond. I could definitely see them moving to WB for the next 4 movies at the very least just to see how things go at a new studio.

$75-80M = low tracking.

Never change, BOT.

Boner Omega #s (which I think is Reel Source, are they?) had it at a  giddy $120m+ a month ago and even last week it was tracking at $80m+ so it's understandable.

No early reviews probably aren't helping with the tracking but if they're great when it comes out in the UK (which is what they usually are) that will probably turn the tide a bit.

It is pretty low compared to what it was originally tracking. I'm starting to doubt high-200's though.

With mid $200s or even $240m it would still rank top 5 in the US adjusted for inflation and quite a bit higher than any other Craig Bond.

Most studios would kill for a 75 to 80 Million opening.

Fact is, SPECTRE is not going to get the kind of hype that Skyfall got because of the Fifieth anniversary of James Bond.Skyfall got tons of free publicity because of that. SPECTRE won;t get that benefit.

But SPECTRE,even with it's huge budget, will still be a huge Earner for SONY.

What is interesting is that this is the last film under EON's current contract with SONY;EON is free to go to any studio with 007 after SPECTRE. Lots of studios will be interested. If SONY wants to keep Bond, they will have to open up their checkbooks.

BTW,Craig's contract is with EON, not SONY.

Mission Impossible 5 tracked at $35 million a week before opening lol and ended up at $55 million OW.

Spectre will skew slightly older than the average tentpole, so it could still do $85-95 million OW.

There's still two weeks for Sony to ramp up Spectre's marketing campaign
