I'd say it was artistically bold.

 

And people have short term memories when it comes to Bond girls, I am watching all the Bond films in Blu Ray from the first one and Vesper from Casino Royale is an exception, not the rule.

 

You would cringe many times at the shit bond girls used to do or suffer in the early films. So far,I have seen the first 10, only the ones in Goldfinger and the one with Lazenbie weren't ridiculous.

 

The saga was notoriously macho and mysoginistic for a long time.

 

Yes this. Most of the Bond girl characterizations of old are so LOL. Bond was pure, unadulterated male fantasy for a long, long time.

The marketing of Skyfall promoted the 50th anniversary hype, not the other way round. I forgot about it until a giant '50' appeared before the credits.

Film could be horrendous and still cause serious damage at the box office may not reach Skyfall numbers but i'm going to say 800/250/1.05 bil.

Ugh. Why does it matter how old she is? Did they ever have this kind of headline for Roger Moore when he was 180 years old and still playing Bond? I hate Hollywood's double standards regarding aging in men versus aging in women. Besides, Cruz is smoldering and Craig is 45.
