Apparently adult movies like Civil War play much stronger on non-holiday weekdays; it won Monday, for instance. Both Zootopia and Civil War look to be tracking slightly higher than half of Monday's total, while Conan is noticeably falling off Monday's pace.

I'm not arguing that the numbers look weak as a whole, but the last few days have been holidays and Zootopia has had much stronger afternoons and evenings on non-holiday weekdays. It made 49.9%, 64.0%, 61.9%, 69.9% and 53.0% of its daily gross after 2PM on its first Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and last Monday, whereas it maxed out at 41.1% on the other days save for opening day. Even if you use the lowest of those (49.9%), you're already at 26k.

its been a few days that Conan had more ticket sold before the day, but on the actual day Zootopia still outperformed Conan

I didn't link to any data on pre-orders. Those are the number of cinema seats that are available according to the survey.

Assuming that the numbers in the Civil War OS thread are correct, it's at $14 million in Japan right now. Considering how Ultron did in Japan, I think the final total might be around $24 million. That's no rigorous analysis, though.

The post Golden Week weekend always experiences heavy declines, and based on Saturday pre-sales and morning/afternoon ticket sales, this year will be no different.

Zootopia is looking to capture its first weekend atop the box office, in its third week, and will do so unless Road to High & Low ends up with a very high avg. ticket price.

EXILE Tribe, one of Japan's musical supergroups (a collection of already established acts forming a single group), which consists of some of Japan's biggest acts, launched a multi-media entertainment project ("High & Low") this year that includes a new drama, album, tour, manga, and more.

This project will eventually lead to the release of a movie, High & Low: The Story of S.W.O.R.D on July 16th, but before then, this weekend's Road to High & Low will give fans a taste of this Summer's main event.

After a weak morning Zoo rises and isn't so far to opening Saturday (-8%). However, the drop from last weekend could be strong, at least in tickets sold (is -21% by now), cause the last sunday was discounted.
