Electric
This will get 150m, but just barely. The second one was so bad I walked out of that. Though to be fair, maybe that was due to my mania at the time, but the movie was pretty poor nonetheless.
Neo
Also got a new title.
iceroll
Yeah looks like they've given up on this domestically so they're going for as much money as they can get from Europe. It should be pretty massive there too and stay relatively flat from the second one WW.

BK007
I don't think this will be able to cross $80m. Edited.
BK007
In fact, I'll try to start a club or at least join one that puts that number forward. Both KFP and Madagascar were better received than Madagascar 2 and look at what their sequels achieved. M2 WOM was quite mediocre I'm pretty sure and this is just WTF. Chris Rock's zebra shouting afro and polka dots and FUCKING CAR CHASES? What movie is this? Car chases? Seriously.Casinos? I think they've forgotten what Madagascar was about. What is this movie even about? Who even cares? Europe likes their own culture and whatnot but what part of that relates to travelling animals and car chases? I mean, what the hell? This looks like one of the worst movies ever already and I haven't even seen it.The more they go on with this the faster Dreamworks are gonna die and that'd be unfortunate. A Marvel Fanboy
Will be lucky to get 150m. 130m is the target.

Safari
Looks like they're just doing whatever they want with this one. It'll do well in the first two weeks (the kids will love it), and then "Brave" will annihilate it, IA4 will do the same. 100M is possible, but it might miss it. Hopefully "Rise of the Guardians" flies right past this domestically.40/115 Edited December 9, 2011 by Safari92
kayumanggi
It's so un-Madagascar-ish.
CoolioD1
It's so un-Madagascar-ish.Because absolutely none of it is set anywhere near Madagascar? I agree.
SchumacherFTW
Saw a trailer for this a few hours ago with Puss in Boots (which was epic by the way). What. The. F@!?&*%!! So god damn terrible!!
kayumanggi
Because absolutely none of it is set anywhere near Madagascar? I agree. Not just that. It's like the three films are not connected at all.

Safari
Not just that. It's like the three films are not connected at all.You bring up a good point, all three don't really connect. M1 is a zoo escape/castaway film. M2 is a dialogue-driven comedy set in Africa, and this... This looks like a cartoony action film. I liked Madagascar 1 & 2, but this one looks too much like an episode of a Nickelodeon cartoon or something. It looks over the top and just plain silly, as if the directors simply said "Eh, who gives a ****." Hopefully this will be the end of the series (didn't DreamWorks say they wanted to make 4 films back in 2009/10?), but this'll probably make more than 600M OS.What else is weird is that Madagascar itself won't even be in this film, the title is just out of place in both the Penguins TV series and this film. I'm guessing DWA didn't think their zoo animals film would spawn all of these sequels and spin-offs. BK007
I agree with kayumanggi's sentiment. The films aren't even connected. I don't understand why and how these characters ended up in European casinos and reenacting generic action movie car chases. This is completely against the first movie's plot, then again the second was already like that and I don't think anyone even liked Madagascar 2. MovieGuyKyle16
I'm actually a little disappoint considering that I really enjoyed Madagascar 1. The 2nd was ok nothing memorable. The third looks like complete crap but I did laugh at the scenes with the Pengins and King Julian. But overall this film looks like crap. I really used to consider Dreamworks just behind Pixar but with films like this and the Shrek series (3 and 4), it makes them look like the rest of the field. Cedarpoint1111
They could have just used different characters and pretended this was an original film. Has nothing to do with the Madagascar at all....
