This is just getting ridiculous.

Avengers is developing the super late legs that Avatar had(though not entirely on that level). The fanboys are just showing up over and over again. The distributer is also being very generous on the week-to-week theater count holds. Edited by Shpongle

LOL No it's beautiful.

No, I agree. The ridiculous wasn't a bad thing. It's just insane how incredible a run this movie is having. Madness that it is now ahead of Prometheus, Snow White, Men in Black, and pretty much anything that tried to compete with it since the FREAKING BEGINNING OF MAY. Let that sink in. This thing is amazing.Ridiculous. Edited by Letsuseournoggin

TA's back up to no. 7It might just have another top 10 weekend in it yet

Anyone know the record for most consecutive weekends in the top 10?I understand this likely won't be close to it, but I'm sure this one has to be one of the more impressive films in that list.

My mind was blown a long time ago and yet it continues to surprise.

Avengers' late run is reminding me of TPM. That ended up outlasting every other movie that came after it that summer except for The Sixth Sense! Hopefully TA can hold on to enough screens to stay in the top 10 next weekend and possibly the week after (it has a chance since IA3 is the only wide release that week).
