zackzack Posted November 18, 2013 Share Posted November 18, 2013 DM2 (Universal) - $550.1m OSFF6 (Universal) - $550.0m OSExtremely good year for Uni just from these two films.To put FF6s performance in perspective, the next highest grossing 2D film is NYSM with $350m WW (compared to FF6 $790m) Universal can have FF6 & DM2 flop in US or not earn a single cents at all and they still make money anywhere ELSE in the world.... If a movie is strong enough to hit $1B then why not?! Even though nowadays more and more movies hit $1B it's still a huge achievement. It would be great to see DM2 "succeed" because it's always good to see BO history But you don't have to worry about that, unfortunately DM2 will nearly miss it.
