WB has the stupidest luck in the planet. The biggest bomb of its studio history followed by what may be the biggest success of its studio history. Insane.

Barbie has a significant chance at crossing all of them; also regardless it's gonna make more profit than any of those films because of the budget.

I think that’s the main key here and why Barbie might indeed become WB’s most successful film of all time.

HP7 and HP8 grossed 2.3 billion on a combined budget of 250m.

Well I'm talking about individual films, not franchises.

joker literally made a billion with a budget of 55 million. This is  a strong exaggeration.

WB only got around half of those profits. Not to mention Barbie is bound to make even more with promotional partners that Joker lacked.

Ghostbusters moving means WB really is going to utterly owns November through January if the schedule remains as is. It won't even be close and Dune, Purple, Wonka, and Aqua all looked primed to over-perform if they're any good.

At least 2 of those are moving if the strike lasts deep into the Fall which seems very likely right now.

Watch the actual interview.  It is incredibly vague, and she might be saying she is just helping pick her replacement.

The budget gap is highly unlikely to be big enough for Barbie to not end up the more profitable film. It’s likely headed to $1.5b+, if not more. And with a far higher DOM share than Joker, which was very OS skewed. WB doesn’t see nearly as much of that revenue as DOM.

The rule of thumb for any studio is they get roughly half the box office take of the average movie.

IU doubt she would make that statment is all she was doing was picking her replacment.

Gunn has NEVER ruled out her returning as Wondy. He..and Warners, just did not like the proposols for the third film.

I'm pretty sure Mattel took a big piece of the pie as well, so it's not like WB are gonna get all the money.

It wasn't released in China though. 40% is not drastically different share.
