Actually if you take out the midnights(previews) then China did better than domestic !!!

 

 

Yeah, at this point, I think 300M is happening in China.   Since it has risen with every update, I fully expect actuals to be over 400M Yuan, probably close to 410M. Just shocking.

How can you be so sure? Almost all openers do a lot more business Saturday/Sunday then their opening Friday in China. Also it reduced the only weekend day to one. I am not so sure.

It more than doubled TF4's OD so I'm pretty sure about that. With a proper weekend, FF7 would have beaten TF4's OW record as well.

I wouldn't use the word "locked" especially after this unprecedented OD. WIth BO you never know. Nobody saw this coming.

This is mind blowing. No way in hell Avengers 2 beats FF7 in China.

Frankly even in India, FF7 was the most anticipated Hollywood movie. TA2 is close second. TA2 might beat FF7 in India if the other films releasing around it flop.
