With the way Chinas Box office continues to grow and becomes as much fun to follow as the domestic one, woudnt it be fun to create a subforum for Box office clubs for China? Like for example JW2 China gross > Infinity Wars China gross.

Club are not market specific in that section, you can make them worldwide performance for example and we have very famous club about China performance gross, the most iconic being about Blackhat over 100m.

What do you expect for IW's Thu, Fri, Sat and Sun?

Nice hold today.  IW will lose half its shows on Friday but still bump decent due to childrens day. Saturday in turn will bump smaller.

 

The following weekend is quiet and IW should hold well

 

It has shows listed thru the 14th, I assume its been extended.  Still on track for $358m+ w/o ext. Up to $365 with it

Today running neck-to-neck with Tuesday. Might increase a little over Wednesday!

 

So nearly $343M by Thursday. Weekend looking to get $8-9M. Next week should get another $3M for weekdays and $4M for weekend.

 

So it should finish with $358-359M if it doesn't get an extension. With extension, should be able to add another $4-5M.

The first Incredibles made $2.4M in China in 2004. The total box office market is now about 45-50 times bigger. The Incredibles 2 should therefore earn at least $110M to match the market share of its predecessor. Could it beat Coco though?

The market being bigger didn't help Kong Fu Panda 3 at all, bad release date but also not a good opening weekend if you would go by market growth.

Hey guys can someone update me with what the potential of FB2 may be looking like? Was the first one well-received? How did the teaser do in chinese websites? Is there any room for growth from the first?

So today IW is looking to get about an 11-12% increase from Wed, and bigger than Tuesday. 

Presales are up 45% at 9:30 pm. So I would guess atleast up by 55% in presales by 3:00 am
