China is such an unpredictable market. The film will have a good total though. It's not looking like a big break out is all.

Sometimes yes. But other times its so freaking easy. After OD of The Wandering Earth i was 100% sure that it would make 4-5B. It was a slam dunk.

The PS to total multiplier will be really low for an 8.8. The PS were insane, so the total is still solid — but it looks like it may underperform in China relative to OS-C.

With an 8.8 Maoyan rating, the goal should have been a 2x multiplier. Maybe WOM on other platforms is not that positive.

8.8 score, no competiton and 100m+ ow expectation turns into smth like 88/145 with 1.65x legs, isn't it disappointing?

Ugh, just realized that stupid daylight savings time will put me an hour further away from China numbers. At least there’s usually a pretty decent idea of where the day is headed by 15:00.
