Stunning number for Flight (Denzel's big "fuck you" to Paramount), and lol at people thinking Taken 2 would fail or get terrible WOM.

Well it certainly deserved terrible WOM. There's a right way to do brainless action (Expendables 2) and a wrong lazy way to do it (Taken 2). Too bad audiences rewarded the latter instead. Edited by MovieMan89

Yes, ti will be much closer to original gross then I expected before release. Getting Hunger Games like late legs.

will Skyfall finish it off?Seems like fairly direct competition, and obviously a no-brainer of a choice between the two.

You know what, -44% for Cloud Atlas isn't actually as bad as it could have been. Sure, a better drop would have been more deserved but this is okay.

Well it's better than the 50+% drop that was originally forecasted.

2 movie theaters right across from each other in Times Square. Empire has the edge but they both always profit. Edited by iTz Only ED

I suppose Tuesday will be down a lot compared to usual.

But Tuesdays are strong because of Canada, not the US. So yes, the numbers will be affected a little, but not much.
