Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted November 11, 2012 Founder / Operator Share Posted November 11, 2012 Had 90m down for the opening, so I'm happy with this result. But more importantly, its flat out one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. The definitive Bond.

iceroll
Great for Skyfall! November's bustling so far, hopefully Twilight and Rise of the Guardians can keep up the momentum.
baumer
"@giteshpandya: WKND BO: #Skyfall $87.8M/$90M, WreckItRalph $33.1M/$93.7M, Flight $15.1M/$47.8M, Argo $6.7M/$85.7M, Taken2 $4M/$131.3M."
Ozymandias
Man, I just went and saw Skyfall for a 2nd time last night and I think it is the best bond film of all. And damn, the opening credits scene was so engrossing. The WOM on this should be insane, I think the Sky is the limit.
GiantCALBears
Cannot wait to see this, again obviously a fantastic result!
Gopher
Amidst Skyfall and Lincoln's crazy numbers Flight had a terrific hold. Under -40%. It'll probably make a play for 80-100. Power of Denzel, baby.

kitik
Had 90m down for the opening, so I'm happy with this result. But more importantly, its flat out one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. The definitive Bond.I've only seen it once so far, so I won't say its better than Goldfinger or Thunderball or The Spy Who Loved Me, but it's definitely better than Casino Royale and the rest of the Bond films from the past 15 years.Considering that this will obviously have significantly better WOM than QOS, you have to think Bond 24 will open above $100M. Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted November 11, 2012 Founder / Operator Share Posted November 11, 2012 Holdiay box office living up to my optimistic expectations so far. Hope that continues through December. Next wknd is going to be insane at theaters.
CloneWars
What's really great is that BD2 is the perfect counter-programming to this. It is without a doubt opening to $140M+ and pulls in the female segment. Guys can drop of their girlfriends and see Bond instead. I see a nice drop for Skyfall next weekend.
