Darth Homer
I'm really tired of people saying TDK was an amazing artistic achievement, and TA was "just fun". They were both great, but TA was actually more of an achievement for me. Nolan just took what Burton had done with Batman and added more realism (and less absurd humour). There was nothing new or groundbreaking about TDK. It was basically just Heat in fancy dress. TA, on the other hand, was something that had never been attempted before (a cross-over between four different superhero franchises) and it managed to stay true to its "geeky" origins while still appealing to a wide audience. Nolan's Bat films are great, but they're not really any more true to the comics than Burton's films. They're just another interpretation of the character. But TA is the definite Avengers adaptation. Fantomex
Nothing tops TDK for me. X-Men First Class is the closest, followed by TDKR/BB. I hope Marvel does an Iron Fist movie, directed by Quentin.

Jawa
Will Man Of Steel be added to anyones top 10 list this year? Yes. My list prior to MoS: 1. The Avengers 2. Captain America: The First Avenger 3. The Dark Knight 4. Superman 5. The Dark Knight Rises 6. Batman Begins 7. Iron Man 8. Spider-Man 2 9. Iron Man 3 10. Thor Right now I'd put Man of Steel somewhere between #3 and #5, but I'm not sure where. I also need to see IM3 again to finalize its placement.
Punishment
Will Man Of Steel be added to anyones top 10 list this year? Definitely! I would probably put it number 3 or 4 on my list right now, but I need to watch it at least once more to decide where it ranks. And IM3 doesn't even come close to my top 10.
