Goffe
I mentioned on the podcast how nobody a year ago could have pegged Hobbit to BARELY make 300m domestic. Most of us were saying 400m+ until September or so. It's a moneymaker for sure, but for such a tentpole event film, it kind of came and went. I said 270m in february Edited January 26, 2013 by Goffe of Oz
wboxoffice
I might be in the minority, but I enjoyed The Hobbit much more than the Lord of the Rings movies... I felt that the LOTR movies dragged too much and were too long and serious, while with the Hobbit it was more entertaining, faster paced and more fun. They are all excellent movies, but the Hobbit to me was a much better movie theater experience. With the LOTR movies, I was looking at my watch a few times. fishstick
I think it`s bloody ridiculous that GdT design made WETA nervous but they thought bird shit-covered Radagast was a splended idea. Just shows that PJ is surrounded by Yes Men. Kudos to Baumer for nailing this forgettablefest`s dom gross. Leatherface
#1 movie on this weekend 10 years ago? DARKNESS FALLS. Mama reminded me of that movie in that the look of the titular character was similar to the tooth fairy creation in DF.
