MovieMan89
Yeah, last 40 seconds gives me chills just like the first two times I saw it. Funny they show a lot of stuff we've already seen in this trailer and yet in this one it just seems a million times more effective.
Magic
Yeah, last 40 seconds gives me chills just like the first two times I saw it. Funny they show a lot of stuff we've already seen in this trailer and yet in this one it just seems a million times more effective. I think the "OMG she has the audacity to shoot a bow and arrow" stuff was being overplayed. It was still there in this one but not as much. I'm not a big fan of animated films but even I thought the last 40 seconds was pretty much perfect. Edited April 24, 2012 by Magic
Jack Nevada
What a fucking awesome trailer! I'm finally getting excited about this! I got some nice Secret of Kells, Black Cauldron vibes out of the trailer. Plus, you gotta love scottish accents! Pixar is back on track! I think this new trailer finally gives us a sense of what it's really about, which is not just her shooting a bow. I definitely think that's why I couldn't get into it much before this. eXtacy
I think what a lot of people love about pixar is their imagination and creativity. The trailers don't make me want to see it. I'll wait for the reviews.
acab
I think it's obvious that the trailers show only half of the story. The funny parts and the presentation of the characters. It looks like it's getting darker and more magical at the end of the trailer so i think that it's going to be a typical Pixar surprise after that. Its looking more like Pixar with each new trailer.
tommycruise
I hope this is really good, I'll be taking my younger sister to see it.
Heretic
That was a beautiful trailer. I'm now looking forward to this. I could see 250m happening.
CoolioD1
Hmm... still not convinced. It does feel like 90% of that trailer is just the first act though. We'll see.
ddddeeee
Trailer #2 and the Japanese trailer were a lot better IMO.
Biggestgeekever
Trailer #2 and the Japanese trailer were a lot better IMO. What?? No it wasn't. This was a far more effective and beautiful trailer.
ddddeeee
I didn't like it. It wasn't funny and the song made me cringe. The second trailer had better music and made it seem much larger in scope.
AniNate
It does feel like two trailers cut into each other. They seem to be building up towards a climax and then get really solemn all of a sudden.
code65536
I liked the Japanese trailer the best. It actually told me what the film is about and made me definitely want to see it, whereas all the other US trailers (including the latest one) merely piqued my interest. Gopher
It more or less screams "we're not going to show you really anything beyond the first thirty minutes." This could be a problem for the opening weekend, because the first thirty minutes looks like a Dreamworks movie. I have faith in Pixar that this will be great. But their marketing department has always left something to be desired. I say it opens to a weak-ish 50m and legs take it well above 200m. AniNate
I have to wonder, would anyone have said "This looks like a Dreamworks movie" before How to Train Your Dragon came along?
whoot
Japanese trailer still the best. And I like the teaser better... As far as U.S. trailers go though, this was the best.
BK007
I have to wonder, would anyone have said "This looks like a Dreamworks movie" before How to Train Your Dragon came along? Didn't Gopher just say that.
AniNate
Yes, that's my point. That's the only Dreamworks movie that this looks anything like.
