It's premiering in the US on April 1st, different countries will air it at different times, depending on the host broadcaster. For example, it's premiering in New Zealand on April 16th.

Season 1 premiered with 2.22 million viewers and the finale had 3.04 viewers. For an pay-to-watch channel that's pretty darn good for a fantasy show's first season. I expect the numbers to go up a lot this season based on the very positive word-of-mouth since last June.True Blood Season 2 jumped 50% in viewers from its Season 1 finale to its Season 2 premiere for example (2.45 million to 3.70 million).

In Germany, free TV marathon over the weekend, it made 1.63 mio yesterday (episodes 8-10).And it was edited a litte bit. They did cut some scenes to make it PG13 or whatsoever.Pay-TV numbers for Germany I have no idea. Still a damn good result for free TV.

I'm sure they cut a bit, but remember that was in Germany, where they are a bit less uptight about nudity than us Puritanical Americans.

In Germany, nudity is more or less okay. It's violence they edit.So, this horses neck was cut, but it was probably a little bit more bloody in the original.

That cracks me up. Says a lot about Americans that ours would be edited the exact opposite way if it was on regular TV. Someone slices open a horse's throat spraying blood everywhere? Sure, no problem. But Good LORD, show a single shot of a boob and all hell breaks loose.

Nah, I'm pretty sure the blood would be censored too. We're kind of easy on comic violence (It's amazing what Family Guy gets away with), but serious, graphic violence is usually edited.

This one should reach at least 4 million in viewers for the premiere There is just too much hype and too many people caught up with the show ... If I had to guess the ratings I'd say 4.2 mil for the premiere telecast along with a 2.0 key demo rating ( not that it matters for HBO ) I think the battle episode near the end of the season might hit 5 mil in viewers

There are signs and posters and more ALL over New York City for this. They were also showing the "Seven Devils" promo inside the AMC in Times Square and even in the theater before the movie.
