Game of Thrones (TV ONLY) [Leaked Spoilers prohibited]

Since, as usual, the ASOIAF board is down, I was hoping to see some commentary on the last episode here.(spoilers ahead)What I liked:The "change" of Jaquen was enough to send chills up and down my spine. Well done.Nice to see the Momoa cameo, and the comeuppance of Xaro and Doreah, even if it was completely outside the book plot.Good court scene with Joffrey, though I guess the Dontos character arc is done based on what happened after with LF and Sansa.HILARIOUS scene after Theon's speech.Cool Brienne scene; not in the book, but an rare example of the show bettering the books when adding something brand new.Ygritte was cuter than ever, especially when tormenting poor Jon Snow.THE BAD-While I enjoyed watching the way the fall of Winterfell was handled, non-readers may not understood what actually happened. Moreover, the "Reek" storyline is beyond redeption now. When it appears later in the future seasons, it will impossible for it to work as well as it in the books, because the needed backstory was omitted.Stannis/Melisandre scene, not so good. The look into fire was fine, but I can't see Stannis on the verge of actually strangling her. Moreover, I'm still ticked that in the show, he is known to have to have a DIRECT hand and ACTUAL knowledge in murdering Renly. In the books, he is very close to being a hero IF he didn't have a part in that horrible act. In the show, with that, he really never can be considered the hero, and that sucks. The end should have simply ended with the third blast of the horns. Every viewer would have "got it", especially with the intro reminding them, and that was more than enough needed. The time to roll the credits was at the sound of the third blast, and after a very brief reaction of horror from Sam and co.

I don't remember what the horn blasts were for so I'm glad they showed the White Walkers. That was such an epic scene. Why did the other Night's Guard guy attack John Snow? Also why are they taking him to see their king? Is their king a White Walker?

The Night Raider let Snow kill him so the wildlings would respect Snow and see him as being on their side. Also the king they are seeing is the King of the Wildings and they are actually running away from the white walkers. They are changing the storyline with the Dragon lady, they are making her more powerful. However I like that.Time for her to kick some ass. Also the White Walkers were epic!!

The dead people were like zombies.Every person the White Walkers kill turn into Zombies which are like zombies. They cannot be killed as they are dead.Wildings are simply people living beyond the wall. They are independent from the Iron Throne and are led by a king called Ryder who is planning to attack the wall to get away from the white walkers.

Oh so the White Walkers are the people who captured Jon Snow and everyone they kill turns into a zombie thing?

Wildlings captured Jon and have brought him to their camp. It appears that everyone who dies above the wall turns into a wraith so the wildlings burn the dead so they don't come back as "zombies".

I'm glad Daenerys got her dragons back, I would have hate that being put off until next year. And I have some questions: Was Theon just knocked out? Why did Daenerys put Doreah in the vault? I know she slept with Xaro, so I guess it is implied that she sold Daenarys out, but what did she do?

Good episode. Very good episode. A lot of things I didn't understand though. I'll start off with the ending since that's still fresh in my mind. Those zombie things are white walkers? And they are all marching towards the wall?I like how Daenerys got her dragons back, but I don't really get why the freakin bald guy died so fast. Surely he could have just dodged the fire? After all the build up towards he house of the undying, that was pretty lame.Imp got the shaft! Why??

Yes White Walkers were the mythical beings on the horses.Everything they kill turns into a mindless Zombie...The white Walkers live far far up north, like North Pole North and are coming down south after a very long time. The wildings are moving south of the wall to escape them.Imp gets the shaft in the book but you will have to wait and see.

The white walkers were those 2 freaky CGI things on the undead horses. There's actually not many WWs compared to other populations. But other populations don't have an army of the dead. The zombie things are wights. Remember the undead guy who attacked Jon Snow and the Night's Watch commander in Season 1? Basically, once the influence of the White Walkers hits the environment, anyone who dies and whose body isn't destroyed turns into a wight and wights obey the commands of the White Walkers. That's why the Wildings burn the body of everyone who dies, because the WW "influence" has pervaded the lands they live in so everyone gets wightified. It's like in The Walking Dead: Everyone who dies becomes a zombie, you don't need to be bitten.

So I guess Theon's boys managed to burn down WInterfell and get past that Stark crew. Why? Hooooow? I was left kinda confused by that. But overall it was a great episode.

Incorrect. That was one of the things I didn't like about the episode in that it didn't show what actually happpened to Winterfell. Book 2 spoilers below (though the substance of what happens in the book is different, the end result is the same):

Theon's boys don't burn down Winterfell. They're all slaughtered by Bolton's bastard's men and then the bastard orders Winterfell to be sacked, the men killed, and the women brought back to the Dreadfort (Bolton's stronghold). Maester Luwin is mortally wounded at this point, so he then tells Bran & co. that the Boltons can't be trusted to follow the Starks anymore.

I guess the reason why they didn't show us this is 1) They don't have to cast Bolton's bastard yet, and 2) They don't want to tip their hand about the questionable loyalty of a certain Northern lord.
