The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies OS Thread | 700M OS passed

But wasn't the question whether BOFA would have beaten TF4 with last year's exchange rates, not whether TF4 would have grossed less than BOFA with today's exhange rates? And you yourself said:

So according to you, chances are it would have at least come very close if not beating TF4.

No, it applies in both directions. TF4 did 1.087 in July 2014. What I meant in yesterday's post is that if BOFA had been released in December 2012, it would have done 1.090 billion. And if it had been released in December 2013, it would have grossed 1.065. But I did not say what would TF4 had done if it had been released in the same dates. I will try to clarify:

I am asuming a final $960 million gross for BOFA, with $120m from China.

If BOFA and TF4 had been released in the same date than AUJ (December 2012):

TF4: 1.117 billion

BOFA: 1.090 billion

If BOFA and TF4 had been released in the same date than DOS (December 2013):

TF4: 1.091 billion

BOFA: 1.065 billion

During this last year, main Hobbit markets (Australia, Euro and Russia) have been very injured in relation to main Transformers markets (Asian, mainly China). For that reason, today the hypothetical gap is bigger:

TF4: 1.020 billion

BOFA: 960 million

Hobbit grossed 3.85 mln RUB last weekend.

1674.5 mln total vs 1670.2 mln RUB for Stalingrad
