Recommended Posts

700 is a good milestone indeed

The Hobbit: The Battle Of Five Armies has reached the cusp of $700m as $3.9m from 20 boosted the running total to $697m.

The film is Warner Bros’ biggest ever in China on $122.1m and has produced $79.2m in Germany, $64.2m in the UK, $45.9m in France and $30.3m in Russia.

Australia has generated $28.2m, South Korea $21.9m, Spain $20m, Brazil $19.5m and Italy $17.3m.

Anyone have attendance numbers for all three films for these countries

Germany

Spain

Italy

South Korea

UK

Hong Kong

Australia

New Zealand

Japan

Brazil

Mexico

France

Germany (source: http://insidekino.de/DJahr/DAlltime100.htm)

AUJ: 6,689,043

DOS: 6,092,890

BOFA: 6,026,575

Spain (source: http://www.mecd.gob.es/cultura-mecd/areas-cultura/cine/datos-de-peliculas-calificadas.html)

AUJ: 3,003,663

DOS: 2,489,228

BOFA: 1,875,342 (very provisional. Ministry of Culture updates quite later than real data. I saw an advertisement of the film some weeks ago and it was saying over 2.2 million admissions sold. Anyway, I think it will make about the same than DOS)

France (source: http://www.jpbox-office.com/top100.php?variable=France)

The link shows the top 250 ever in admissions in France. Both AUJ and DOS do not appear. BOFA ranks #244 with 4,848,102 admissions. It is not outstanding, but it wins to previous installments.

Switzerland (source: http://www.procinema.ch/)

AUJ: 540,780

DOS: 503,471

BOFA: 518,151

I have not found more.
