Impact
SW will get it. Everyone said that in 1999 also.
Kvikk Lunsj
Heart of the Sea is a good choice for a nomination. I choose that instead of Tomorrowland in my nomination list. Edited April 27, 2015 by Snoopy of Suburbia
Jessie
I'm betting furious 7 gets nominated and Ultron doesn't.
Avatree
Age of Ultron is guaranteed a nomination. Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Avengers, Iron Man 3, Cap 2, GotG all got nominations. Heart of the Sea could be similar to Life of Pi, being released at Oscar-time it wouldn't surprise me if it gets a nomination. Jurassic World probably will get nominated but isn't guaranteed. JP2 and JP3 missed out on nominations. Mad Max, Tomorrowland, Terminator, Ant-Man, Fantastic Four, The Walk, The Martian could get nominations. Star Wars will win. So yeah my predictions: Star Wars: The Force Awakens In the Heart of the Sea Avengers: Age of Ultron Jurassic World The Martian Edited April 27, 2015 by tree - we're home
Impact
JP2 was nominated. Right now my predicts are: Avengers 2 In the Heart of the Sea JP4 Episodes 7 Tomorrowland

JW shouldn't stand a chance, though... Mad Max might be a wild card.
The Futurist
The walk could surprise if the movie is a big deal with AMPAS. It was obviously not shot on location.
The Futurist
Miller pretends all Mad Max stunts are practical. They used a lot of cables to accomplish them and those cables were erased digitlly. Only the sand storm and lightnings are CG. Rorschach
I believe the ten finalists will be: Ant-Man Avengers: Age of Ultron Chappie In the Heart of the Sea Mad Max: Fury Road The Martian Pan Star Wars: The Force Awakens Tomorrowland The Walk The nominees: Avengers: Age of Ultron (5) In the Heart of the Sea (4) Mad Max: Fury Road (2) Star Wars: The Force Awakens (1) The Walk (3) Edited May 25, 2015 by Radical Rorschach
Rorschach
Miller pretends all Mad Max stunts are practical. They used a lot of cables to accomplish them and those cables were erased digitlly. Only the sand storm and lightnings are CG. He claimed about 90% of the stunt work was done without CG. Obviously, there is t anyway I can back this up but that's all I know. The Futurist
The Walk will get in. Insane complex work it seems.
Impact
Tomorrowland has pretty good visuals. The Walk probably will get nominated-the director has had very good luck here before. (I'm sure he would have been nominated more had he not taken that odd break)
The Futurist
Zemeckis always have insane complex shots achieved thanks to state of the art VFX. With such a subject matter, the VFX nom for the Walk is a lock.
