    I'm surprised this show has lasted so long. I think the acting is kind of yuck and the stories aren't that compelling either. Anyway, with the whole Frozen thing, it should be good for at least a couple more seasons. I will say this, choosing Frozen for this season was great synergy on their behalf and great foresight for them.

    Well, I said in the last Sandler thread that he is a relic of the past, a comedian past his prime. This was a smart move for Sandler and probably a poor choice for Netflix. Netflix needs to ask themselves what original content would people that don't subscribe want and how do we tap into people that aren't subscribing. More Sandler probably won't bring that many more subscribers into the fold for Netflix. Oh well. At least, this sounds better than Crouching Tiger 2. I just feel like Netflix could be using their money more wisely.

    I feel as if the series is a bit disorganized right now, as if they are not 100% sure what to do with all the characters

    I have a strong feeling this show will be much better than Agents of Shit.

    I liked the second episode better than the first, but the show can still use improvement.

    Penguin will probably go to Arkham. Notice how in this episode they talk about reopening Arkham. As for Bullock, he is a corrupt cop in the comics just like he is on the show.

    Finally saw it! The show seems to be off to an excellent start.

    Tbh, I didn't like the pilot and thought the whole shoehorning just about every Batman villain was silly. Arrow seems to be the only good comic book show at the moment. Who knows, maybe this show will turn around though. We are only one episode in.,

    An ok movie. I know some people get offended by the prolonged rape scene, but the movie is just ok imo. I do like the whole reverse thing and the camera work is pretty cool as well.

    I wish i could watch this, but I don't know my password for my service provider, so I can't login and watch it on Disney XD. Blah! And, I have been anticipating this for a long, long time.

    Source? Last I heard most big profile Blockbusters earn 80% and in some cases 90% of the DOM haul and theaters make money from concessions.

    I feel the author is probably overly speculating and ill-informed. I mean, he states that TF earns about a 50% DOM take, but that is BS. It should be closer to 80% like it is for most big blockbusters. I remember reading somewhere that Paramount was able to work out a good deal where they made a decent sum of money from China. I think around 33% or $100M which is pretty good when all is considered.

    According to the Marvel wiki, Asgard is in another dimension. So, I am guessing there are alternate universes out there. GotG takes place in our universe through space travel. Thor takes place in another universe and uses extra-dimensional travel.

    I expect a cameo scene in GotG 2 where Howard has some intel for the characters or something. I think he gets a brief scene in the film. Enough to make fans happy.

    How is $1B for 3 films conservative? That's about $333M per film.

    Actually, I felt the signs were there for GotG to make $200M+, and potentially get close to $300M. I wasn't the only one who saw the potential. No one saw Skyfall making $300M DOM and $1.1B WW.

    Poor argument. Bond stopped being big years ago. No Bond film had cracked even $200M Dom, plus Skyfall managed $1.1 B WW. Skyfall was a much bigger surprise than GotG. What you are saying Neo is that TASM3 grossing $400M DOM would be no surprise because Spider-Man 2002 pulled it off.

    I wouldn't call GotG one of the greatest box office surprises in years. Frozen, Gravity, Skyfall, and THG, and arguably the Avengers were all bigger BO surprises.

    Seeing how that would create a monopoly on the comic book market, I don't see it going through.

    Also, some movies make a ton of money no matter what like animated films and superhero films that have a lot of merchandising tie-in. I would argue that a Batman film for instance is a 2-hour commercial for Batman merchandise and any money made from the BO is just icing on the cake.

    Disney is a on a crazy streak this decade. PotC4, TS3, Alice in Wonderland, Maleficient, Avengers, IM3, GotG, Cap2, FROZEN! I mean, holy shit, this studio is doing ape shit crazy.
