Because of this: $173,005,945 INTERNATIONAL (76%) $548,072,000 WORLDWIDE $721,077,945 Fast is an OS giant, DOM is not that important for it. And even DOM, I don't think Eternals will touch the 173m of F9 with a 70-71m opening and the WOM it (seemingly) has.

Plus on the Gucci discussion, I don't think it will skew as old as people think. Gaga and Driver (post SW) have their younger fans. Imo, I think it will go like The Great Gatsby, similar somptuos drama with over 30% of the OW audience under 25.

If reviews are good I could see Gucci doing 30m OW. True, older audiences are more reluctant these days, but it's not like we don't see movies like Dune or NTTD reaching higher numbers. And aside from those, did we really have any big adult titles, in wide release, with any real hype released lately? You could argue The Last Duel but that never had hype, the trailer views are abysmal, especially for a movie with a well known cast.

I don't understand how everyone is so sure Eternals will have no competition this month. Am I the only one seeing both House of Gucci and Ghostbusters over 100m DOM?

Gosh, this was so good, even if they deviated a bit from the books. But since book 4 ws my least favorite I am glad they cut some part of it and decided to cover some parts of book 5. Also amazing that they gave Avasarala more screen time than in the books. Gosh I love her.

It was ok, but it was 100% filler. Do we really need filler episodes in such a short season? I mean, we are halfway through the season and the plot is still not picking up. Considering how much mythology they have to draw from, I am surprised this is what we are getting.

I hoped for better. I don't understand why these 2 episodes were separate. They would have sort of made sense as a single episode. But other than that, where is the budget? This is supposed to have a 12m per episode budget (seeing how there are only 8 episodes). That's GOT level but that doesn't show at all. GOT had so many characters so actors had to be paid. Here there are hardly a few actors. Similar with VFX. Yoda's face looked ok, but the movement... it was so obvious it was a puppet. Unless we get a huge VFX spectacle at the end of the season, I don't get where the money is.

This. The soundtrack was a bit disappointing also. But the reveal at the end was exciting.

I think WW and Mulan have the biggest chance. Honestly, it will be good to have the riches more evenly distributed. Maybe smaller films or riskier projects like Dune will have more of a chance to break out. 2019 so far feels very unevetful in terms of BO surprises.

I am no Avatar fanboy. I think the movie is just ok. But how are poeple still underestimating Cameron? Avatar 2 will be stupidly huge. Maybe even new king of the WW box office huge.

So this is the trailer for a movie adapted from a Romanian bestseller that just had one of the biggest openings ever here. I realize I am out of the loop with what is happening in my own country when this movie is everywhere and I just now hear of it.
