This takes the fun out of box office tracking. What an absolute train wreck.

He sounds fine to me. Pretty close to the original even. Really curious to see what they’d do with a sequel.

The original film’s popularity has only grown since it became a runaway smash hit. Remember, Let it Go didn’t reach the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 until March 22... when the film had been out for four months. And this was the movie version by Idina Menzel. Frozen is the ultimate example of a cultural phenomenon. So it’s not unreasonable to expect the sequel to be big in my opinion.

That Netherlands OD is insane. Avengers was always going to be frontloaded, so just below AE is bonkers.... TLK will easily win the year and end quite high on the all time chart in the territory. Impressive all around.

The question now is whether or not it can pass TS3 worldwide in my opinion. It’s going to be closer than originally thought possible.

Why would audiences invest in another X-Men movie when Disney is going to reboot the whole series anyway? Some might have been waiting to see if it was any good but it wasn’t so it’ll tank spectacularly.

Aladdin was my favorite Disney film growing up. What Disney has done here is blasphemous. Wrong director, wrong cast. It’s just a mess. It’s like nobody cared about the source material.

Saw MPR and thought it was as well done as it could have been. A sequel to such an iconic film is no easy task. And it does have some beautiful music that sounds as if it were composed by any of the golden era’s composers. And Emily Blunt, you just can’t keep your eyes off of her from the moment she enters the film. 200M would be deserved in my opinion. It has its flaws, but as far as original movie musicals go it really is a well crafted film.

I’ve listened to the full soundtrack a few times now. While it’s impossible to live up to the original, which is too iconic, this to me is easily one of Disney’s best original musicals in years. Musically it runs circles around Tangled, Frozen, The Princess and the Frog and Moana. Some glorious melodies in this one. Can You Imagine That is the closest to a new classic but time will tell. It’s a shame A Star is Born will pick up all of the awards for music. Because I haven’t enjoyed a Disney musical this much since the 90s heyday. A+++

This is breaking out big time. It's not the type of film that appeals to people on this forum, but I expect families and older people are going to come through for this. Plus, this will be the film to solidify Emily Blunt as a megastar. I honestly don't see this doing below $300M. And UK has a shot at $100M+ considering the source material and the star power involved. By far the most effective trailer of the year.

Black Panther coming for that $700 million.

I guess this newfound goodwill means the family audience is back for Spider-Man. Should hold well throughout the weekend. Sony can sigh in relief now.

Excellent for Pirates. Maybe a 6th film will happen after all? I'll admit a nice swan song with Bloom and Knightley back together would be kinda cool. And then let it rest.

Very good to see audiences not rewarding Illumination and PIXAR for DM3 and Cars 3. No one asked for these movies.

The short looks terrible. The song sounds obnoxious like the one in Frozen Fever. The Lopez's are certainly no Alan Menken.

Considering the critical praise and lack of competition $300 million is not a weird or high expectation in my opinion. We'll see. Still weird that an acclaimed film like WW opened so far below Suicide Squad and Batman V Superman, the cinematic equivalents of shit and vomit.

Fast8 won't be able to catch up in the end. Beauty and the Beast did amazingly well considering it's a full blown musical. Japan was always going to love it though.

I don't know... Wreck-It Ralph is a beloved recent classic. If done right it could hold well against Grinch.

Europe and Asia will eat this up. It might not outgross On Stranger Tides, but it will be big nonetheless.

People can die of a broken heart. I'm heartbroken and didnt even know Carrie personally. I cannot begin to imagine the pain Debbie is in...
