  1. Can I watch them on Hulu or elsewhere? I don't have Showtime (therefore no Showtime OD).
  2. I don't have much of one, lol.SUNDAYOnce Upon A TimeThe Walking Dead (trying to get caught up on this one)MONDAYMike & MollyHoarders/InterventionTUESDAYNCISFace OffWEDNESDAYCriminal Minds (if I feel like it)THURSDAYBig BangI want to watch Homeland and other bigger Sunday night shows, but I'd have to catch up and know I'll never bring myself to do so. I already decided I will watch Seasons 1 & 2 of Downton Abbey and even got the DVD's. Just haven't even started watching them yet.
  3. Yeah, that season premiere was all kinds of awesome. MULAN!!!!! Nice to see wraiths, aka Dementors, in Storybrooke/FTL, lol. I sure hope JK Rowling doesn't sue ABC.
  4. I don't call sitcoms that a lot of people like, yet I don't, "bad." Just because they aren't my taste or humor doesn't automatically make them "bad" for me.For instance, I don't get the appeal of the Tyler Perry sitcoms on TBS one bit. AT. ALL. Everytime I've tried to watch them I've never once laughed. But they're just not relatable to me. Obviously there are a lot of people who do find them funny. Now, on the other hand if I don't find them funny/good and seemingly no one else does, then sure they're bad IMO. Dramas are another thing altogether.
  5. Yeah, I saw that on TheHob or Mockingjay. I have to agree with the site admin when she said that, while the darker, more futuristic tone looks cool, I'd be afraid we would have ended up with a generic B-sci-fi movie that looked too much like the films he was using as inspiration there. For instance, the aesthetic would be exactly the same as every other dystopian film.
  6. So then don't answer, for fuck's sake.
  7. I miss the anticipation. All the discussion and wondering how they'll portray things onscreen, the feeling of seeing a great trailer for the first time, the feeling of experiencing each film for the very first time, as opposed to knowing it by heart on my 12th viewing.
  8. OMG, I didn't even realize that was Cary Elwes, even with you saying the Princess Bride thing. Had to go to IMDB first before I realized it.
  9. On Mugglenet and it's Facebook, yeah. I mean, not all of them, but quite a few are now.
  10. Not to mention it's pretty obvious why HG has beaten it on Amazon. Potter books were just this past March available in e-book format for the first time, and still aren't available on Kindles or Nooks. And most people already have their copies of HP books.
  11. I have to say that, as a fan of both Potter and THG, I'm very put off by the many Potter fans that are now bashing Hunger Games because of this pointless Amazon thing. Almost makes me ashamed to be a Potter fan.
  12. Just because this is funny... Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is totally banging Ygritte (Rose Leslie) in real life.http://www.tmz.com/2012/08/24/game-of-thrones-jon-snow-ygritte-kit-harington-rose-leslie-dating/Cue fangirls everywhere exploding with either glee or hate.
  13. Uhhh... what? That's not a plot hole. That's you not being smart. (no offense intended, just a kid)The poster was held up at the top with either tacks or pieces of tape. He held the bottom of it up to help cover himself when he was digging for all those years. They even show him holding it up. When he goes into the hole he lifts the poster and it falls neatly back down behind him once he's in the hole since neither the bottom nor the sides were attached to the wall.
  14. Anyone else excited for the new season of this competition tonight on SyFy? I loved loved loved the first 2 seasons. I would kill to be that good at special effects makeup.
  15. It was obviously their way of leading them back to the dude that made the threat on Will's life. And they haven't aired anything on the troll story, it's just something that Neal THOUGHT might get him a story. But this is the same guy that keeps pitching Bigfoot and aliens. He's not stupid, he's just a nerd, lol. Also, why wouldn't it be newsworthy? Some of the larger trolls can be very very very very disruptive and even dangerous, a helluva lot moreso than the like that show up in places like BOF. A story on what motivates them and what could possibly be in these strange, messed up minds that gives them a thrill to do stupid shit like that. I'd watch it.
  16. I'm pretty sure Potter books weren't even available in E-book form until the last few years. I distinctly remember stories on the fan sites about them finally becoming available.
  17. From Wikipedia:The story of A Song of Ice and Fire takes place on the fictional continents Westeros and Essos, with a history of thousands of years. The series is told in the third person by point of view characters, whose number reaches 31 by the fifth novel. Three stories become interwoven: the chronicling of a dynastic war for control of Westeros by several families; the rising threat of the dormant cold supernatural Others dwelling beyond an immense wall of ice on Westeros' northern border; and the ambition of Daenerys Targaryen, the exiled daughter of a king murdered in a civil war shortly before her birth, to return to Westeros with her fire-breathing dragons and claim her rightful throne.
  18. You need a lot more than one sentence. But, in a nutshell, the fight for power & survival in a medieval-ish separate world. Mostly humans with somd fantastical elements thrown in. That description in no way does it justice though.
  19. Maybe so. But absolutely nowhere near the same neighborhood as it is today. Especially with kindles & e-readers.
  20. Yes, but then again when the first Potter books came out, Amazon.com wasn't even around, or if it was, it wasn't anywhere near as big as it is now.Still, it is very impressive.
  21. Well Mance is pretty much a contemporary of the Halfhand, so it would make sense for him to be as old on the show as the Halfhand was.Hinds is an incredible and versatile actor, so he may end up being perfect. Either way I'm very happy with this.
