Ruthie
I completely understand why something like TA wouldn't be nominated because it is just perfect summer popcorn fun. Not BP material. But TDK? It still makes zero sense to this day. It has everything a BP contender needs. TDK had "too many notes". And unlike it's historical intent, in this case that statement is apropos. Lordmandeep
They sort of repaid Nolan with Inception with 5 awards. However was quite a slap when he got nothing for TDKR.

redfirebird2008
They sort of repaid Nolan with Inception with 5 awards. However was quite a slap when he got nothing for TDKR. They didn't repay him. They went out of their way to not nominate him for Director. Giant slap in the face.

redfirebird2008
Of the 2008 nominees, I would have given it to Frost/Nixon.
Jandrew
Hmm, what if TDK came out in December, maybe that would changed things. I think the Academy needs to look outside of Winter more.

redfirebird2008
I think the Academy needs to look outside of Winter more. There is a lot of truth to that. Zodiac came out at the beginning of the year and got 0 nominations as a result. Had it been released in November/December, it probably would have received more recognition.
