The review argument with the Fast and Furious franchise is  Hi-la-ri-ous !

Like yeah, this is the cinephile franchise that is getting raves from the New York Times and critic circles.

Fast has momentum, gonorhea had none.

BTC has FF Vl at 90 M 4-day and THE HANGOVER lll at 100 M 5-day.

If they're spot on again...

I honestly think that Hangover 3 is going to gross more than Fast Six (total, not OW)... Domestic at least, if not world wide. Fast Six won't increase, but it will decrease to around 180M-185M... The Hangover is going to probably finish at 190-200M.

Par spinning that STID actually opened 6% bigger than last Trek - but fails to mention STID figure incl 1 EXTRA day.

They have to spin it as best they can though. Could STiD have done this in 3 days + preview?, It probably doesnt work that way but I think so.

Fast 6 won't be the hit many expect either. Too much competition from The Hangover 3 and holdovers. Plus, it doesn't seem to be getting as good reviews as Fast Five.

The Hangover Part II dropped from the first film and was horrendously received, it's not competition.

Next weekend is sure going to be interesting no matter what. Sequels to two high grossing franchises releasing together, one under the radar and possible dark horse animated movie, one wreck of a big budgeted holdover that released just a week earlier, one unexpected smash hit holdover that released just two weeks before, and one mammoth success holdover that released three weeks before.

This is a first of its kind scenario and I can't wait to see who comes out on top and who burns in the horrible carpile inferno.

Gonna be a clusterfuck for sure.

I hope Fast 6 bombs. :)

If we ever meet in Real Life, you will have to remind me that I promised to buy you a beer... only for this comment.

The Hangover is the only movie released this May for you? Iron Man, Gatsby, Star Trek, Hangover 3 all are going to steal audience from Fast Six, and vice versa...

If it was horrendously received, it shouldn't have been the THIRD biggest summer film of 2011.

There were movies that were just as bad and still grossed the same/more than hangover 2, but I don't see anyone complaining about it. This hate for that franchise is unbelievable.

If that BTC predict for FAF Vl happens, 200 M isn't happening.
