Completely agree. It won't flop (most likely), but this is an incredibly stupid move. It had its own release date and was positioned nicely among the Christmas releases. Now it gets lost in the shuffle against SW. Sisters is at least good counter-programming, but SW is going to eat up the family demographic that weekend. Maybe they are hoping To get families that show up at the theater needing something to watch when the next 5 SW showings are inevitably sold out?

There's nothing I want more this Christmas than for prints of this to accidentally to be played at the star wars midnight showings. A bunch of grown men yelling obscenities at a dumb kids movie for playing instead of the dumb kids movie they've waited a decade for.

When I went to the midnight showing of The Hunger Games, they started playing The Lorax. That was bad. for this to happen would be unforgivable.

Anyone remember the time when a movie theater somewhere accidentally started running The Hills Have Eyes 2 in front of an auditorium with families who had paid to see The Last Mimzy? LOL.

I've told this before but they played the strangers when I went to see WALL-E. that was a fun one. i wouldn't have minded both good films.
