Most kids’ movies still have jumps on Saturday (Monsters University had a jump on Saturday, which is rare by Pixar standards), Planes making less on Saturday than Friday isn’t the most promising of signs.

MU dropped on its first Saturday.

Of course.

150m OS is the floor. 200m - almost a given. 300m - also probable.

Elysium isn't likely going to make 300 million worldwide though.

150 million overseas is likely though, which is standard for Sci Fi wasteland movies.

Still, something's not right when the lowest drop is over 40%. This summer has not been kind to holdovers, especially this weekend.

4 openers, all over 20M (2 over 30M), and all over 3,000 theaters.

STID is in my top 3 this year and I quite enjoy Oblivion. And last year I loved Prometheus when most people hated it. Normally I'd go to see big budget sci-fi movies without a second though but somehow Elysium just looks dull to me.

LOL... That's true.. we have a different taste in men though.

And I can't criticise anyone's taste in movie. I lost that right when I enjoyed Transformers more than TDK.

havent seen Prometeus but the trailer looked beautiful

lol I dislike both TF & TDK (& every Nolan movie except 4 Prestige so my taste basically sucks I guess   )

lmao what men do u like?? :D
