Lordmandeep
It should be a massive overseas due to any big competition overseas. Also has that epic scale destruction that overseas audiences love like in 2012 and TF3. So I say 400+ million overseas. kaijukurt
450+OS, how much do you guys think X-men would affect Godzilla's run?
A Marvel Fanboy
Godzilla of course will do more than DOFP OS. So no affect.
Michael Seng Wah
Godzilla's destruction effects is as good as those in 2012 and TF3, so far, seen from the new trailer. Huge draw of course. Godzilla might give new record for Warner Brothers in certain Asia countries.

A Marvel Fanboy
Japanese elements = flop in Japan, as PR/TW all taught you. Ted/MU is irelevant. Japan is one aging country. Sci-fi action flick, which is for young people, has limited potential than years ago.
Fullbuster
Japanese elements = flop in Japan, as PR/TW all taught you. Ted/MU is irelevant. Japan is one aging country. Sci-fi action flick, which is for young people, has limited potential than years ago. Godzilla is a famous franchise in Japan, a Japanese franchise. Your argument is not relevant here. And Monsters University is for these young people as well, that doesn't mean they were the only ones to watch it.

Bishop54
http://www.godzillamovie.com/releasedates/Looks like almost every market get's the film either 5/14, 5/15, or 5/17, the only exception is Japan where TOHO will release it in July. It's a good move to not have such a scattered release, helps cut down on piracy.

picores
Yep, 400 should be the benchmark.
SentryTrans
I expect 60 mil in China also. Chinese film market keeps high growth in 2014. Even NFS can make more than 60m. Godzilla is a much is a bigger name than NFS.
Bishop54
Like Firedeep said in the China box-office thread, if Pacific Rim did $100M then Godzilla is assured of matching that and then some. How high can it go though? Firedeep wouldn't rule out $130M.
Peeta Tong Karanasios
I don't like this film! Anyway 350-380m is my prediction
