It's obvious Paramount doesn't trust anyone else doing these.  Bay is the heartbeat of the franchise.

Well, the movies do make 1B WW so yeah, I wouldn't trust anyone else either

I think he'll do TF6 as well. He's gotta at least close out this new trilogy before handing the reigns to someone else.

The films are floundering domestically. Paramount doesn't seem to want to course correct.

What could they do to course correct? There's not much they can do to drum interest back up domestically. They'll happily make another billion dollar grosser that has something like a 15/85 split

Yep, if Labeouf ever became normal again, bringing him back would instantly make Transformers seem relevant again in NA.
