Pretty sub-par acting from everyone aside from Amy Adams and Diane Lane. I mean...the trailer was crazy emotional and got me pumped. "They will raise behind you...they will stumble...they will fall." It also came out a year earlier so the Avengers' scene felt like kind of a rehash. Most critics have a very superficial understanding of the Potter universe and don't really care about the characters like the fans do. Because it was Part 1 of the finale they were probably expecting it to be more fast paced and after HBP focused so much on character development they were likely hoping for more action as well. Thus giving it a bad review. Basically, their opinion means fuck all to me. Any true fan of the series would recognize DH1 as one of the best films in the series. Mainly non book readers who see it as a rehash and just another teen series, despite liking THG.I can see CF having pretty nice legs once WOM gets out.
