Lordmandeep
CF will drop 60% this weekend however it will do with around less then 40% drops the 2 weekends after and and hold well over X-mas. Thinking a gross around 425-430 million looks good which would be simply an epic gross and in terms of tickets sold quite a feat.

Lordmandeep
In terms of adjusted prices... CF is the 5th biggest film after 10 days...3rd unadjusted. TDK, TA, and of course two big blockbuster Spider Man 1 and DMC are the only films to have sold more tickets in ten days. So in terms of the big openers. CF is now part of the club. SchumacherFTW
Must say, I wish Gravity would have released here in the UK back when the US got it. Because then Catching Fire would still have it's IMAX screens! It's being virtually wiped out across the country in favour of handing the screens BACK to Gravity! SoSaysI
So assuming that Thor 2 passes World War Z Disney will likely finish with 5 of the top 12 movies this year domestically (obviously the Hobbit will pass $200 mil but I don't really see any of the other December films as very likely $200 mil films). Pretty good year even taking into account the epic bomb that was the Lone Ranger. Edited December 2, 2013 by SoSaysI

grim22
Thanks RTH. El Capitan held serve with Frozen. Wow. Not surprising, they have a 55$ breakfast ticket for the 8:30 show. More than half the seats are 26$. General tickets are 16$ and 13$.

Yeah but still to beat out AMC Empire is no easy task with all of their showtimes. I'm sure they aren't cheap either.
