Dawn was super grim. It presented some hope for something better and then killed it and buried the corpse. It's relentless.

Both of the movies in this recent Apes franchise are quite the triumph. Tell a good story. Do it in a way that embraces the concept, not running the callbacks and cliches into the ground. And find mega success.

Hollywood, please...THIS...is how it's done.
