August always looked to me a bunch of people overacting to get some Oscars. Not my thing.

 

Exactly what it is. Streep will still get a nomination. Even though its her worst performance in years.

Closer is underrated as fuck. It's amazing. Adore the dialogue, even though it's as "stage play" as hell, I can't get enough.

Owen gave the single best performance of any actor in Closer that year (and Roberts was at her career best). I saw him in King Arthur that summer and thought "Holy shit. This guy is gonna be HUUUUUUGE!" He just made the wrong career choices (He was approached for Bond but he wanted more money than the Broccolis were willing to offer)
