probably the best way you could portray this sort of thing, fantastic use of the shaky cam. ultimately hard to watch and depressing, which is what it should be.

The last 15 minutes are almost unbearable. I was so caught up I almost thought 'yes! They're going to beat the terrorists'.

 

Though it was funny when I realised one the passengers was that snotty kid in Jusrassic Park who challenges Sam Neil at the bone dig site.

Easily one of the best movies of 2006. The "you-are-there" approach works brilliantly, and the film is especially commendable for achieving maximum emotional impact through minimum manipulation. I doubt we'll ever see a better movie made about that day.

This film would be considered one of the best of the previous decade m if it weren't about 9/11 specifically. Greengrass deserves so much credit for how much respect yet little restraint he has in showing the brutality of the events in real time. Hard to watch to conclusion & yet you can't look away despite knowing how it ends.
