Last w/e's actual came in a bit higher at $197.6M so a $40m week.  Still, a great hold.

$400M OS can happen easily especially cause it still has major markets left. Plus a $300M+ DOM intake, I'm pretty confident that this will make $700M+.

Guardians Of The Galaxy added $20.7m for $237.6m from roughly 70% of the international marketplace with China, Germany, Japan and Italy to come.

The UK has generated $37.1m, Russia $34m, Mexico $18m, Australia $17.8m, Brazil $15.5m, France $12.8m, South Korea $10.6m, Spain $6m and Malaysia $5.3m and the Philippines $5.1m.

The Marvel Studios release has grossed $489m globally and overtaken the final grosses of Thor on $449m and Captain America: The First Avenger on $371m. Internationally, Guardians has exceeded the $194m tally of Captain America: The First Avenger.

Guardians of the Galaxy has broken through the £20 million mark at the UK box office.

 

.... has now overtaken the total box office records of the first instalments of Iron Man (£17.2m), Thor (£14m) and Captain America (£10.4m) and smashing the box office totals of Thor: The Dark World (£20.1m) and Captain America: The Winter Solider (£19.3m).

..... is the third most successful Marvel film at the UK box office, behind Avengers Assemble and Iron Man 3.

..... has taken in excess of $489 million at the global box office, and is currently the tenth highest grossing movie of 2014 so far.

Just back from watching GotG in German.

 

After seeing it already in English I'd think Marvel should fire the dubbing company.

 

Especially Drax's voice work misses the earnestness part he has, IMHO lessens his character big time.

Gamora too is not 100% a match, but mostly o.K., the speaker seems to be used to that kind of roles, still, repeatedly some inner strength, honor moments seem a bit lacking.

Groot variant moods/meanings are not the same quality/broadness than in the English version

Quill was better than in the trailer, perhaps bcs I wasn't expecting that (hoped for, but not sure...) after a bit adjustment, o.K., Rocket too could have been better, but was at least mostly o.K.

Plus they changed some spoken words in a way that some details relevant for the next movie are now missing.
