Barbie | July 21, 2023 | Warner Bros | Margot Robbie is Barbie. Ryan Gosling is Ken. | Second most profitable movie of 2023

the audience of these conservative influencers is basically 40-50+ old men. They can damage indiana jones or some super heroes movie. The female audience, especially the young, doesn't even know they exist ....so a movie like Barbie has its insane audience, plus the men are not morons... any obstacle to became very big.

1.2-1.3 billion range seems reasonable with what we're seeing right now, give or take. They might also decide to just give this a huge long run all the way through the summer.

Edit lollll the "woke = broke" crowd are real pissed about the unqualified success of this. Great opening, great reviews, serious awards buzz no (apparent) huge drop. And there's no chance of some Bud Light type nonsense, through Shapiro did try

Elon Musk has got to be the saddest human being on the planet. Wanted to be loved and funny when he never will be, and bought Twitter on a midlife crisis.

Well It would be very smart. After the Craig saga which already reinvented the brand in a strong way i think it's really hard to sell something fresh after not so many years.

Gerwig as director would make people, for the bad and the good, talk about it a lot.

If WB doesn't immediately lock her down for a sequel or a Ken movie and somehow let's another studio lock her in they're lunatics.

they should let it ride the wave until the oscars before they anounce any sequels.

This film is a youtuber grifters wet dream. All they need to do is put a video out trashing the film to get tons of engagement.

Most of their viewers are men, while Barbie's demographic consists of a multitude of women/girls and their significant other.

I'm pretty sure it won't affect the movie's performance.
