There's going to be a revolution in the United States that will change its foundations and policies drastically. When 1% of the population own nearly 43% of the wealth...when they buy politicians off so they pass laws to better help serve them and not the people they should be looking out for...it's gonna come to a messy end eventually.Corporations rule the US. Completely and utterly. The 2008 economic meltdown will seem like a picnic to the inevitable one that's coming up. The rich just kept getting richer, and everyone else got poorer. But, damn...when the next financial collapse hits, things are going to get hideous.

The news outlets/media have already mentioned that the student loan bubble makes the housing loan bubble look like child's play...

Sadly, what you are saying is the truth.  :(

Yea that's good...I graduated around the same time with quite a bit of debt...every month when my student loan bills come due, a small part of me dies...

That shit is rough. Parents paid for undergrad degrees for both my sister and me. They couldn't afford her graduate degree, so she had to take out loans for it. Luckily she ended up being able to pay it off thanks to some inheritance we received from our grandmother a few years ago, but it still hurt her ability to save. I don't even think she has started a 401k yet and she is 2 years older than me.

It is. Plus, I never trust mainstream media. They serve only the elite and powerful. Independent media is what I watch.

Yeah, it does help to have extremely gracious relatives, who also happen to have a 6-year-old son to give me child-rearing practice.

I am really glad my parents paid for college if they did not. I would gotten my generals done at a community college and picked a different major.

Your sister should be going for the match at least. It's free money.

I pay 800 in loans per month (I overpay by about double though)

Why?

it's sort of messy and I've tried to forget about it. But Boxoffice.com doesn't want him to post the matinee numbers because this site doesn't have the right to post those numbers. It's okay if he posts the projections. But not the raw numbers. So I guess he took offense to that and decided not to post anymore. Shame because it was great to have another source for numbers.

It's ironic that I took a class about the economy, where I basically had to read an articles talking about why college is unimportant, and how much it cost.

Seems like even the teachers know how unnecessarily expensive it is.

Yeah, I wonder what's gonna happen when the next crash occurs. One thing that bothers me is the super low interest rates right now. They are giving a bit of a break to average people when it comes to mortgages, car notes, and other loans.

But they are screwing, absolutely screwing, anyone who wants to responsibly save their income. You can't grow your income without sticking it into the rigged casino that is the stock market. They've successfully forced everyone into it as the only means to reasonably grow our money. And when it crashes again, I think there will be chaos.
