Wknd Est: TLM2 - 30M, 22JS - 29M, HTTYD - 25.3M, JB - 13.5, [DOFP - 6.2M]

Recommended Posts

From Rth:

Dragons: 6 - 7.5

22JS: 8

Jersey Boys - 8.5-10M

Think Like a Man Too - 11-12M

If Dragons hits the high end though it might actually beat 22JS  which is looking at a bigger % drop

I'm really hoping 22JS beats Dragon again this weekend.

so by the end of summer the top ten of the year should look something like this

1. TF4 (Yeah I think it will go above 260m)

2. Winter Soldier

3. Lego Movie

4. Days of Future Past

5. Maleficent

6. ASM 2

7. Godzilla

8. Apes (don't see a giant increase)

9. Dragon

10. Some other movie

Jersey Boys

Seems like a good number for Jersey Boys, BOM was only predicting $11m for the whole weekend

I keep hearing from people that Dragon 2 is very dark. That is going to scary off parents and their young children.

Such talk is overblown. Without getting into specific, spoiler-y detail, it doesn't do anything that at least a couple of other huge, high-profile animated hits did in the past. The only difference is that it waited until the sequel to do so.

How did that affect The Lion King?  Or the popularity of something as terrifying as The Witch and monkeys in The Wizard of Oz?

ASM2's chances of ending the year inside top 10 just got better.

Lego, CA2, TF4, Malef, DoFP ahead by summer.

MJ1 and Hobbit pushes it to #8.

When Godzilla opened, it along with HTTYD2 had seemingly pushed ASM2 to #10.

Apes, GotG, Interstellah and BH6 could still edge it out (and surprise hits of course).
