That's a cool scene. What movie is that from?

PS: Haven't seen THG, but I can say that Catching Fire is better than Apes.

That scene is from an episode from last season of Game of Thrones

From Game of Thrones.

I'd say CF and Apes are roughly equal. I had the same amount of enjoyment from both. Maybe a slight edge to CF because of Woody Harrelson factor. Love the man since Indecent Proposal and it just ain't fair to other movies.

Consider TAs OD. Yes that includes midnights but if people are willing to view it around the clock (like they have for countless films in the past) I really think $250m is possible. Not necessarily for TA2, but just saying in general.

You know what I'm thinking would be a doable target for TA2? 50k PTA in 4500 theaters. So 225 mil. But I think 250 million IS possible, sure.

Were you even born when INDECENT PROPOSAL came out?

It's from game of thrones, one of the last episodes.

CF is a masterpiece. Absolutely perfect in every sense of the word. It's nothing less.

It's still incredible to think that you get shit like that, or the Blackwater episode in a fucking TV show! I mean, okay, it;s not TV, it's HBO.  But still...

Yep, tv/cable shows have come a long way from what I remember in the 80s :)

What's going on here? People peeved about the early super buzz of Dawn or something? The two series couldn't be more different.

Well, not PEOPLE. One person in particular...

But shit, I'd take this over another DC vs Marvel discussion.

I'd give Apes the nod over either Hunger Games film due to the fact that I was really surprised how good it was, and it's always nice to have a film be better than you expected going in.  HG was just fair, imo, and CF was pretty good, but I had huge expectations for it.

And Apes doesn't have the dorkiest actor working today in Josh Hutcherson ruining whatever scene he's in.

Eh, THG is pretty much like HP1/2.

Great when you first watch it because you're a fan but not really that great and mostly held up by being a fan.

The first Apes was such a great surprise and great when you rewatch it too.

So Monday numbers were better than normal?

Should we expect some big drops on Wed?

Yes, Monday's numbers might have been better than normal.  I don't think you will see any out of the ordinary drops on Wed.  Last time the 2nd of July was a Weds was 2008.

Which is a true comparison, it's the same praise each got. However, I wasn't the one that made the comment of saying one was better than the other........hmmm.....wait who was that?
