Apes is headed for another nice weekend and TF4 may challenge Cap2 for biggest movie of the year domestically.

TF4 is losing 23% of it's theaters this w/e and even with a good PTA hold will probably drop to around $5m and be around $237m after the w/e. I don't see it doing another $22m+ after that to challenge CA2 (which made $5.75m in it's 6th w/e for a $245m total)

Brings TF4 up and over $230m+ US domestic now.

How much past $250m will it go, can it go?

I don't know.  I still think it's gonna end up around 245.  Which is still better than the 235 I thought it was heading after the 3rd weekend

Interesting to note that How to Train Your Dragon 2 is in over twice as many theaters on its 7th weekend as Kung Fu Panda 2 was in on its 7th. HTTYD2 has 1,538; KFP2 was down to 650.And the DUFE count makes me wonder - how many other movies have lost over 1,000 locations two weeks in a row?

It had a horrible theater average last week, and yet it doesn't lose a single theater. Go figure.

As I said before, DUFE has had two consecutive losses of 1000+ locations. Because I was curious, I've decided to put together a list of other films with which it shares this "distinction".1999:Chill Factor [first time this ever happened?]2002:Eight Legged Freaksfear dot comBallistic: Ecks vs. SeverI Spy2003:Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas2004:Catch That KidWelcome to MooseportSurviving Christmas2005:Son of the MaskxXx: State of the UnionHouse of WaxThe IslandStealthDeuce Bigalow: European GigoloDoom2006:The Ant BullySnakes on a PlaneThe Grudge 22007:Firehouse DogSurf's Up2008:Speed RacerThe Incredible HulkThe X-Files: I Want to BelieveBabylon A.D.Righteous KillYes Man2009:Land of the LostFamePlanet 512010:Valentine's DayThe WolfmanFurry VengeanceGoing the DistanceBurlesque2011:Sucker PunchYour HighnessGreen LanternConan the BarbarianFright Night*Apollo 18*The Thing*Paranormal Activity 3The Three Musketeers[Wow, there were a lot in 2011!]2012:Man on a Ledge*BattleshipRock of AgesAbraham Lincoln: Vampire HunterHit and RunResident Evil: RetributionSilent Hill: Revelation2013:Texas Chainsaw 3DThe Last Exorcism Part IIThe Incredible Burt Wonderstone*The Hangover Part IIIThe Lone Ranger*RiddickRunner RunnerEnder's Game47 Ronin[Wow, there were a lot last year, too!]2014:Paranormal Activity: The Marked OnesEndless LoveTranscendence*Deliver Us From Evil** = lost over 1,500 theaters one weekend, then lost another 1,000+ the next weekendDamn, there were actually more than I thought going into this. Still interesting how many there were in 2013, 2011, and 2005. There have been more in recent years, so I expect a couple more before the year is out.

That's a hefty theater count for Hercules. Gonna be a lot of empty ones.

Hopefully Zack Ryder will be there to fill us in like he did with Sex Tape as well as to support his coworker.

Someone who's on twitter needs to ask him to post pictures from the theater this weekend again.

I love that Lego and Captain America are going to trump all the summer movies.Winter will be really great, though. Mockingjay, Interstellar, Big Hero 6, and La Dame.

Don't forget Exodus: Gods and Bronzer

The top 10 grossing movies at the U.S. box office so far this year have an average RT score of 74%.  Movies 11-20 have an average RT score of 62%.  Movies 21-30 have an average RT score of 35%.  Now I know that the 35% average for movies 21-30 will rise a little bit as the year goes on because of the fall Oscar dramas, but these are still insightful figures.  I don't want to hear any more trash-talking from people who say that critics reviews don't matter at all.

Here's a great quote from a Madonna song, and it fits for a lot of the posters here, especially Ando

"Poor is the man, who's pleasures depend, on the permission of another."
