Who knows? For every one good film, he makes five really shitty ones. Rinse and repeat. My guess is the guy has an extravagant lifestyle that requires quick cash. It's obvious he's not an actor who cares about establishing a strong legacy.

I can't imagine the cast of this new Sin City cost a whole lot considering most of them are irrelevant these days.

Red 2, Kick Ass 2, and the 300 sequel all dropped.

And typically they don't get sequels.

Seems like a sub-genre with very little franchise potential.

 

Does Blade count? To me he is more vampire hunter franchise than superhero

LOL   that movie's story always cracks me up..tried to watch it..couldn't make it 30 mins

 

apparently..James L Brooks got paid 10 millions to make it

Wilson..another 10 mil..and Nicholson got 15 mil I think..while Witherspoon made another 10 millions and Rudd made like 6 millions I think..

 

and the movie bombed so fucking hard..who the living fuck invested in that movie? it's an enigma..the whole movie shouldn't have cost 35 mil imo
