water
This is something I just came up with and think it could be fun. With major upcoming movies, what minimum rotten tomatoes score would they need for you to decide to watch them in theaters? I don't fully agree with RT's ratings but the beauty of this is you can adjust every movie's minimum RT score to your tastes, which makes it interesting. For example movies you maybe didn't care about could capture your attention with a really high RT score, or movies you were already anticipating could need a really low score to make you not see them. Here's the blank list: [*]19/09/2014 The Maze Runner - [*]03/10/2014 Annabelle - [*]06/11/2014 Interstellar - [*]07/11/2014 Big Hero 6 - [*]21/11/2014 The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 - [*]12/12/2014 Exodus: Gods and Kings - [*]12/12/2014 The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies - [*]06/02/2015 Jupiter Ascending - [*]06/02/2015 Seventh Son - [*]06/02/2015 The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water - [*]13/02/2015 Fifty Shades of Grey - [*]13/03/2015 Cinderella - [*]20/03/2015 The Divergent Series: Insurgent - [*]27/03/2015 Home - [*]03/04/2015 Fast & Furious 7 - [*]01/05/2015 Avengers: Age of Ultron - [*]15/05/2015 Pitch Perfect 2 - [*]12/06/2015 Jurassic World - [*]19/06/2015 The Fantastic Four - [*]19/06/2015 Inside Out - [*]10/07/2015 Minions - [*]18/07/2015 Ant-Man - [*]09/10/2015 The Jungle Book - [*]23/10/2015 The Conjuring 2 - [*]06/11/2015 Bond 24 - [*]20/11/2015 The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 - [*]25/11/2015 The Good Dinosaur - [*]18/12/2015 Star Wars Episode VII - [*]23/12/2015 Kung Fu Panda 3 - [*]11/03/2016 Warcraft - [*]25/03/2016 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - [*]06/05/2016 Captain America 3 - [*]27/05/2016 X-Men: Apocalypse - [*]17/06/2016 Finding Dory - [*]17/06/2016 How to Train Your Dragon 3 - [*]08/07/2016 Doctor Strange - [*]21/10/2016 The Jungle Book: Origins - [*]18/11/2016 Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - [*]16/12/2016 Star Wars spin-off - [*]??/12/2016 Avatar 2 - [*]07/04/2017 Pacific Rim 2 - [*]26/05/2017 The Lego Movie 2 - [*]28/07/2017 Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - [*]08/03/2018 Moana - [*]08/06/2018 Godzilla 2 - And here's my list: [*]19/09/2014 The Maze Runner - 75% [*]03/10/2014 Annabelle - 95% [*]06/11/2014 Interstellar - 40% [*]07/11/2014 Big Hero 6 - 90% [*]21/11/2014 The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 - 20% [*]12/12/2014 Exodus: Gods and Kings - 96% [*]12/12/2014 The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies - 70% [*]06/02/2015 Jupiter Ascending - 80% [*]06/02/2015 Seventh Son - 100000000000% [*]06/02/2015 The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water - 85% [*]13/02/2015 Fifty Shades of Grey - 78% [*]13/03/2015 Cinderella - 80% [*]20/03/2015 The Divergent Series: Insurgent - 80% [*]27/03/2015 Home - 98% [*]03/04/2015 Fast & Furious 7 - 90% [*]01/05/2015 Avengers: Age of Ultron - 45% [*]15/05/2015 Pitch Perfect 2 - 60% [*]12/06/2015 Jurassic World - 80% [*]19/06/2015 The Fantastic Four - 93% [*]19/06/2015 Inside Out - 90% [*]10/07/2015 Minions - 96% [*]18/07/2015 Ant-Man - 90% [*]09/10/2015 The Jungle Book - 95% [*]23/10/2015 The Conjuring 2 - 80% [*]06/11/2015 Bond 24 - 90% [*]20/11/2015 The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 - 40% [*]25/11/2015 The Good Dinosaur - 87% [*]18/12/2015 Star Wars Episode VII - 35% [*]23/12/2015 Kung Fu Panda 3 - 98% [*]11/03/2016 Warcraft - 87% [*]25/03/2016 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - 30% [*]06/05/2016 Captain America 3 - 60% [*]27/05/2016 X-Men: Apocalypse - 90% [*]17/06/2016 Finding Dory - 70% [*]17/06/2016 How to Train Your Dragon 3 - 97% [*]08/07/2016 Doctor Strange - 94% [*]21/10/2016 The Jungle Book: Origins - 1000000000000% [*]18/11/2016 Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - 45% [*]16/12/2016 Star Wars spin-off - 75% [*]??/12/2016 Avatar 2 - 70% [*]07/04/2017 Pacific Rim 2 - 80% [*]26/05/2017 The Lego Movie 2 - 100% [*]28/07/2017 Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - 85% [*]08/03/2018 Moana - 85% [*]08/06/2018 Godzilla 2 - 88% Obviously I don't see that amount of movies in a year though so a lot of these are me betting they won't get that high. Again, that's the minimum RT score required for each movie for you to decide to watch it in theaters. Fill in and post your lists! The Panda
Rt scores may make me go see a movie sooner or in theaters but I'll end up seeing all of these anyways
Empire
RT Score doesn't affect whether I see a movie or not. If I want to see a movie, I will see it regardless of the score.

Ozymandias
I rarely ever pay to see a movie at the theater that is under 50% on RT, but limiting yourself to stuff that is only 80-100% is kinda absurd imo.
Jessie
Well I watched season of the witch in cm the cinema and what did that have, like 6%? It was so bad I watched it twice.
filmlover
RT Score doesn't affect whether I see a movie or not. If I want to see a movie, I will see it regardless of the score. Yep. I know for certain that I will see Interstellar, Big Hero 6, Hunger Games, Exodus, and The Hobbit in theaters because I actually want to. Have no interest in either The Maze Runner or Annabelle, and even glowing RT scores wouldn't change my mind.
Breakspear
Most I have already made up my mind to watch or not to. Here a few whose RT score would effect me to go watch it. [*]19/09/2014 The Maze Runner - Fresh [*]03/10/2014 Annabelle - Fresh [*]06/02/2015 Jupiter Ascending - 70's [*]11/03/2016 Warcraft - Fresh [*]23/10/2015 The Conjuring 2 - Fresh (though I do love the first I don't like seeing bad horror films) Edited September 1, 2014 by Breakspear
Jandrew
0%. Score doesnt matter. You should worry more about the entertainment value of the movie rather than critique the hell out of it and stress over why its not perfect.
Kvikk Lunsj
Depends if my friends are going to see movie that has a low score, I all will go to hang with my friends. If I want if I like to and the movie looks like something I will see it. If the movie looks crappy and has bad reviews then I will not see it. alisson23
if I liked of trailers of a movie, this is sufficient for me go to movie theater. Critics suck. It's rare but is more likely I decide to see a movie by netflix score of audience than by rt score.

baumer
The lower the score the better. Critics are useless imo. How can they possibly know what I will like?

AniNate
6.0 for blockbusters, 7.8 for everything else unless I really like the director That puts me at about 25-30 movies a year, which is enough to feel cultured but not enough to feel like I'm throwing away money I should be saving for important things. So you say that you're more inclined towards lower scores. I guess critics aren't so useless for you, just not in the same way they are for everyone else.
