Weekend Prediction thread 6/28-6/30 Play the Derby

Am I the only one who thinks War Dogs might have a decent opening? I'm thinking around 25m.

The marketing has been aggressive but it doesn't really feel like it's clicking (especially when the premise is limited in appeal to begin with). The fact it was once set to be a March release before being banished to the doldrums of late August doesn't inspire much confidence either. Reviews will probably make or break it, anyone know when the embargo ends?

It might be mid-week, my guess is late Wednesday night.

If you're right, SS will get knocked from #1 the way BvS kinda was.

It has a slim chance of staying #1. If it is #1 next weekend, it is because it either fell really well or War Dogs/Ben Hur underperformed

I THINK your right on WITH SS someone said is $500,000 over it's weekend estimates don't know how ture that is but it would give SS a 66%drop instead of 67%

Honestly I'm more interested than anything else this weekend in seeing how much PD drops.

(Interesting how if Mike Hunt's predix about SS is spot-on, it'll do worse on its 3rd weekend than GOTG did.)

Haven't done these formally in a while, so here goes nothing:

Suicide Squad - $20 million

Sausage Party - $18 million

War Dogs - $17 million

Kubo and the Two Strings - $15 million

Ben-Hur - $10 million

That said, I'm rooting for Sausage Party to hold up better and unseat Suicide Squad for #1.
