Of course.... the assumption here (as the case is right now) is that FF7 will have a run of 30 days (i.e. it will end on 11/5). So grosses only upto that day will count. And exchange rate that will be used is the current exchange rate, i.e. 1 USD = 6.2 Yuan

Really? Mi5, Spectre, MJII no chance to top F7. At this point it has guaranteed a top 3 finish and maybe top 2.

At least Spectre and MJII are (fairly) reasonable guesses. But I completely agree about MI5, I don't think it will top 750WW IMO.

MJ2 has no chance of coming close to Fast 7. its just not popular in biggest growth markets. MI5 also will not come close as domestically its not going to make much though OS should see a huge bump in China/SK( I am expecting 200M growth in just those 2 markets). Also its popular in Asia and overall could(and should) come close to 1B WW.

 

Skyfall did gross over 1.1B $ WW and in theory has a chance. It did great in Europe and Asia. Should grow huge in Asia to make up for losses in Europe. But I dont see it beat Furious 7 though I am expecting another billion $ WW grosser. I dont see SW7 also beat Furious 7. So it should be AOU 1st and Furious 7 2nd WW.

Furious 7's success is largely due to China. It may well be possible that Furious 7 isn't an outlier but the norm from now on. Who knows? Edited by Quigley

its gonna gross 700m minus china with shitty exchange rate. That is not a joke. Plus broke OW records in so many markets that its definitely not a norm.

FURIOUS 7 scored another $93.3M in China this weekend, for a mind-blowing 8-day total of $250M. Folks, this is madness.

FURIOUS 7 debuted in Japan with $6M this weekend--biggest opening of the franchise.

Fast & Furious 7 retains top spot in the UK and has now crossed £31m（$46.3m） after 17 days in play.
