Mojoguy
BH6 would be holding slightly better than WiR with that third weekend number. It's becoming a clone of WiR in terms of boxoffice legs.
Fullbuster
It's bad. THG4 will probably be the highest-grossing one, people don't like "Parts 1"
Mojoguy
THG4 will probably be the highest-grossing one, people don't like "Parts 1" It's good because it's a ton of money. But bad because BD1 and DH1 didn't decrease so much from their previous movies. The number is showing some fatigue of the series from the audience. peludo
I still don't understand how CF was able have the same multiplier as THG even though it was a sequel. Freak of nature I guess. It was very well received. And it had Thanksgiving+Christmas boost.

filmnerdjamie
"Threequel-itis?" Bull-fucking-shit, Deadline. Audiences are smart enough to know a cynical cash-grab when they see it, and even the positive reactions to Mockingjay acknowledge there was no reason for it to be split into two films.

eXtacy
I think poor advertising is partly to blame for such a big drop, I did not like any of their trailers.

It's funny, even though it's not exactly the same cash grab move technically but Godfather's book is actually split in two in a way since Vito Corleone's youth which was originally featured in Puzo's original book was left out of the first movie and then made it in the second movie as a prequel as Puzo added material to further Michael Corleone's storyline. straggler
It's bad. It's the end of the world. Lionsgate will only make about $800 million from Part 1 and $900 million from Part 2, excluding DVD/Blueray sales which will push profits into the billion range. Horrible.
