I don't think there's any review embargo for this. So we'll probably start seeing reviews tommorow.

It did but it didn't help its OW. Had they held them back say the Monday or Tuesday before release, it would have help increase its OW potential

I have every faith Spielberg has delivered. 

 

Whether the cynical, entitled ‘fanboys’ will let it be what it no doubt is I’m not sure. 

 

I expect the film will be laced with subtext about social networking and technology which the critics really should respond to.

Me too. It just looks like a really fun adventure.

 

The trailers for this film have had a kind of energy that something like The BFG (which I did enjoy well enough) lacked.

Agree. 

Yet more and more, films that appeal to fandom can be completely derailed depending on whether the internet decides if it’s cool or not. 

 

Some of the vitriol already out there for this film unseen is extraordinary. It feels like Last Jedi/Ghostbusters all over again. 

Let’s hope Warners can turn this all around with great word if the movie is really good.

I started reading the book three days ago and I'm loving it so far. Spielberg is even mentioned in an early page. Hahaha

They must be confident but it is Spielberg. He doesn't make very many films that get really bad reviews.

Film Twitter has been very negative towards the book and by extension the movie. Very curious as to how the critics react.

It’s nice to hear that WB is apparently confident in this movie. If the film can manage to be well received, it just might make a decent profit.

Wow, a WB film lifting its embargo earlier than the week or 3 days before release.
