The Not Quite Official BOF Must Watch Movies Before You Die. (and competition inside)

Recommended Posts

I'm tempted to stay away from my favorites and obvious choices (for the most part), because I think others will nominate them.

Remember movies with multiple votes make it easier for those movies to make it into the list. So its not really a wasted vote even if others do nominate them as well.

Die Brücke - The Bridge (B. Wicki, 1959)

At first I thought you mean The Last Bridge - 1954, not by the same director, but Wickie was one of the actors in that movie (slightly confusing to me in the first moment, as it's soooo long ago since I've seen those movies) ;)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047172

Also an interesting film, some parts still stuck with me since I saw it in the '60

But you picked this one (to help the OP to find it, it didn't show up at IMDb.com per search - at least not for me):

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052654/

Now that you say it, I actually merged the two movies in my memory.

But the one I put on here is the one I would pick for this particular list.

Thanks for the help!

That happens to me also, especially Blade Runner = I am not even sure about the 'real' version anymore without having seen it recently = I merge all of the versions to the one I prefer (as in that one never got released) :D

But if we all do that then Galaxy Quest makes the list and Shawshank misses :)

Damn, I forgot about Galaxy Quest, I should have put that on my list  oh well, hopefully I'll be able to get it in through round 2/3.
